EXT. DOOGAN TOWNSHIP OUTSKIRTS – DAY
HALCYONE and CORILLA SNOW are hunting for scrap-metal.
CORILLA
Feeding times soon. What are you going to say?
HALCYONE
Same as always. If we deserved better food, we’d be shown the way.
A siren sounds in the distance. The sisters stop to listen for a moment.
CORILLA
How long you think that’s going to work?
There’s a certain angle that makes it difficult for me to not make ears look Elfin. So… I ran with it. ~ 100 minutes
I redrew this gals face about 5 times. I have no idea why it bothered me that much. ~ 45 minutes
When you see a bunch of gray and faint lines, that means I’ve screwed something up and gone over the bad lines / value with a white pencil, which mutes the blemishes, but doesn’t entirely mask them. For instance her lower arm was in rough shape, so I shortened the forearm, changed the positioning of the hand, ect. This sort of thing could be avoided if I spent more time with the pre-sketch (in gray marker), but sometimes it’s hard to gauge how things are going to turn out until you actually start laying lines down. ~60 minutes
