Pen on paper ~ 35 minutes
Notes and sketches from a few talks I attended this spring. I also blew past my 31st birthday, as that fancy gentleman below mentions.
I like the robot man with the sweet mullet – I used a very skinny ink pen (.005) that almost immediately started leaking all over the place when I sat down to wait for Citizen Kane to start at our local historical theatre. Also it was brand new, I have no backup, and so I’ll be drawing with graphite tomorrow to see if I can capture a similar look. ~ 60 minutes
Another face page. I’ve kind of been striking out recently with the morning sketching – I need to shake things up. ~ 40 minutes.
I really like the face in the center, but the composition sort of fell apart with the character on the right. ~ 35 minutes
Ugh not a good way to start the week. While I would welcome the opportunity to blame this on one of my pens starting to run dry, really that center face just went to hell quickly and despite my best efforts to invoke a Charlie’s Angel’s thing here, it didn’t save the overall sketch. Stupid Mondays.
meh. I kind of like where I was going with the shoulder pads on the lady in the lower left but this was not a stellar Monday morning sketch.
